The Nielsen Organ Transplant Foundation (NOTF) in Jacksonville, Florida  is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 as a result of a fundraising campaign for Cheryl Nielsen, a young woman in need of a heart transplant.  Sadly, Cheryl died before she could receive a transplant and the organization’s founders opened its doors to all transplant patients in the Jacksonville area.  The NOTF continues to improve the quality of life for organ transplant patients in Northeast Florida.  Our programs include financial assistance, donor awareness, mentoring, information and resources.
